Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria, April 20,1889. His mother was his father, Alois Shickelgruber Hitler's third wife, and she died from cancer in December of 1908 when Hitler was just 19 years old. It's hard to feel sympathy for such a man, but for anyone to lose their mother would be devastating and leave a lasting mark. As a young boy, Hitler seemed uninterested in almost everything, he was pretty lazy and moody.

Hitler got hurt twice and right before the end of the war he was badly gassed and had a 3 month recovery time at a hospital in Pomerania. As a result, he was temporarily blinded and just really bitter about the defeat and the 1918 revolution in Germany that he truly believed it was his destiny to defy the Versailles treaty and rid the country of Jews and any other race or culture that he felt the world would be better without.
Hitler joined the National Socialist German Worker's Party on September 16 1919, and became chairman in July 1921. He soon created the company symbol, then also created it's greeting which was "Heil!". Hitler became known as the Fuhrer of a group that would be know as the storm troopers, the SA, which had 3,000 members and helped increase his personal power. This group was organized by Captain Ernst Röhm with Hitler's black-shirted personal bodyguard who went by the name of Schutzstaffel, or the SS.
